Brazoria County Ring of Honor Memorial

In Brazoria County, Texas, the current memorial for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice is located inside the county courthouse. Unfortunately, this presents two problems. First, the memorial is too small to put all the names of the fallen. Second, due to security changes after 9/11/2001, the current memorial is inaccessible.

A new memorial has been designed to go outside the courthouse. Funds are being raised to get it built. The plan is to have it built soon, so that it can be dedicated on Veteran's Day 2010.

On October 23rd, 1983, the Marine Barracks in Beirut was bombed by terrorists killing or injuring 241 Marines, soldiers, and sailors. Please take a moment today to remember them and their families.
